I'm a fine art photographer from Lacey, Washington. My relationship with photography spans back to the early days of digital, when I purchased a Sony F-717 camera and began exploring photography as a student in Ann Arbor, Michigan. At the time I was particularly drawn to infrared and macro photography.
Over the years my interest in photography dwindled due to the start of my career in civil engineering and family health issues. In 2011, my passion was revived when I was given an assignment to photograph a newly constructed roadway. Upon being reintroduced to photography, I became interested in high dynamic range (HDR) images and began traveling around the Pacific Northwest looking to build a gallery of HDR images of places and locations in Washington and Oregon.
Since my start in 2011, I've become focused on landscapes and no longer shoot tone-mapped HDR images, but prefer manually blending high dynamic range scenes using advanced Photoshop techniques. I'm still drawn to infrared, macro and nature photography, and plan to expand these galleries in the near future.
Welcome to my website, I hope you enjoy taking a look at some of my work.
